Uma Thurman to star in Red, White & Royal Blue
Uma Thurman has been cast as the US president in Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming film Red, White & Royal Blue. Directed by award-winning playwright Matthew López, the film is based on Casey McQuiston's novel of the same name. The Kissing Booth actor Taylor Zakhar Perez and Cinderella star Nicholas Galitzine play the lead roles.
Cast of Apple TV+ New Look announced
John Malkovich, Emily Mortimer, and Claes Bang will star in the upcoming Apple TV+ series New Look. The series will trace the genesis of the iconic fashion brand Dior during the end of the Second World War. Ben Mendelsohn will play Christian Dior in the series which will also feature Juliette Binoche and Maisie Williams. Binoche will essay the role of Coco Chanel.
Christopher Landon to helm Arachnophobia remake
Happy Death Day director Christopher Landon will write and direct the remake of the 1990 horror comedy Arachnophobia. Jeff Daniels played the lead role in the original film which revolved around a town infested by dangerous spiders.
George Miller wanted to cast Tild Swinton in Furiosa
Acclaimed director George Miller revealed that he wanted to cast Three Thousand Years of Longing actress Tilda Swinton in the upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road prequel, Furiosa. However, he was unable to come up with a role for her. Furiosa stars The Queen’s Gambit actress Anya Taylor-Joy in the lead role, replacing Charlize Theron. The film will also star Chris Hemsworth.
Anything’s Possible to premiere on July 22
Emmy-winning actor Billy Porter’s directorial debut Anything’s Possible will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on July 22nd. The series is centered on Kelsa, a trans student who encounters several ups and downs while navigating relationships. The series stars newcomer Eva Reign as Kelsa.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to premiere on Disney+ on June 22nd. The film starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Elisabeth Olsen is directed by Sam Raimi, who has helmed the Spider-Man trilogy starring Tobey Maguire. The film is the highest-grossing film of 2022 so far.
Sony LIV to produce Hindi-Malayalam web series
Sony LIV will produce a Hindi-Malayalam web series based on the life of ‘Metro Man’ E Sreedharan. Jayasurya and Mamta Mohandas will star in the Malayalam version of the series, while Sony Liv will take a decision on the lead actor in the Hindi edition. The web series will be directed by V K Prakash.
